Mechanical details of both versions include a BS6-compliant, 149 cc, single-chamber motor that produces 12.2 bhp of maximum power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The FZ comes equipped with a clever looking Drove front light, although we are not too impressed with its performance. Additionally, the bike gets an LCD instrument cluster which is dimly lit by Yamaha. The side-stand offers safety features such as engine cut-off function and single-channel ABS.

Conforming to the standard health parameters, the Yamaha FZ S V 3.0 new model comes with single-channel ABS as standard. On the electrical front, the headlamps and taillamps now get LEDs. The tachometer, speedometer, odometer and clock are all displayed on the previously mentioned negative LCD-backlit instrument cluster. Front and rear tire sizes are 100/80-17M/C(52P) and 140/60-R17M/C(63P) respectively. Braking force is provided by a 282mm disc brake at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear.

Braking & Suspension 

Telescopic front forks and preload-adjustable rear monoshock handle the suspension duties of the bike. The Slow Motion Office has a single plate on two wheels while the Wellbeing Network is controlled by single channel ABS. An LED taillight, Bluetooth connectivity, a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, an LED headlight, a rear mudguard that wraps around the tyres, and a lower engine guard are all included as standard features on both models. The frame of the FZ is held together by a downtube. A conventional telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock are the suspension components. At both ends, braking is handled by single-channel ABS assisted by disc brakes (282mm/220mm). The BS6 FZ-FI and FZS-FI get separate 282mm and 220mm circle brakes at the front and rear along with single-channel ABS. As per a brief look at the brochure, the FZ S V 3.0 features a diamond-shaped chassis and uses monoshock suspension at the rear and telescopic forks at the front.

The FZ S V 3.0 uses the same 149cc single-cylinder engine as the model it replaces as the changes are only cosmetic. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and produces 13 bhp and 12.8 Nm of torque. Design & Style

The two-tier seat of the bike fits snugly and is cushioned as well. Moreover, it does a good job with an upright and comfortable riding position. With perfectly fitting seat material, the cushioning material is large enough to provide a comfortable and cozy ride for both the rider and the person sitting behind. The rear seat seating is 16% larger, with a 26mm wider hip locale and 5mm thicker for extended comfort.
