Vespa GTS 300 Reviews- The GTS 300 will share many similarities in terms of styling and equipment with other scooters from the Italian automaker. It is powered by a 278cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine that can produce 22bhp and 22.3Nm of torque, making it the most powerful scooter available in India.

The engine will be mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.Currently available in international markets, the GTS 300 is expected to arrive in India at the beginning of next year as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit. I filled up the fuel tank and attached my GPS to the Vespa GTS 300. As with most scooters we review, the Vespa speedometer was slightly overestimating the speed, but not by much. It indicated a speed that was about 6% faster than the actual speed. For example, when it showed 30 MPH, it was actually 28 MPH, and when it showed 60 MPH, it was around 56 MPH in reality.

The odometer was accurate, as it recorded an actual trip of 11.0 miles. On the GPS, I reached a top speed of 77 MPH (indicated as 82), although I didn’t push the scooter to its limits since it was still new. With some break-in miles and a rider who is not as heavy, the top speed might increase slightly. During my ride of approximately 100 miles with various conditions, I observed a fuel consumption of 72 MPG. Considering this is a new scooter in its size class, I find that to be quite impressive.

The absence of a kickstarter indicates that this engine is likely to be below 300cc. It is expected that this scooter will come with single-channel ABS for added safety.

Based on an uncovered photograph found online, it appears that Vespa is working on a new scooter model with a larger engine capacity, specifically designed for the Indian market. Specification

This scooter offers the convenience of a CVT automatic transmission, which eliminates the need for manual gear shifting. By simply twisting the right grip, the rider can effortlessly control the speed without any guesswork. The power generated by the engine is transmitted to the 12-inch rear wheel equipped with Michelin City Grip 2 tire. According to Vespa, this engine produces approximately 24 horsepower and can reach a top speed of around 77 mph.

Torque

Vespa has introduced the 300 HPE (High-Performance Engine), a four-stroke 4v water-cooled motor, which is the most powerful engine ever installed in a Vespa. The single-cylinder engine remains almost unchanged in terms of power and torque, delivering 17.5kw/23.8hp at 8250rpm and 26Nm/19.2ftlb of torque at 5250rpm. The fuel system is controlled by the latest generation Magneti Marelli MIUG4 ECU, which has improved calculating capacity.
