MV Agusta Dragster800 RR Reviews- The MV Agusta Dragster 800RR is a more performance-focused variant of the Brutale 800, which is also available in India. In terms of aesthetics, it features sleeker tank side panels and newly-designed triple-exhausts that lend a more aggressive appearance to the bike. Additionally, the Dragster 800RR is equipped with spoke wheels instead of the alloy wheels found on the Brutale 800.

The Dragster 800RR is powered by a 798cc inline-three cylinder engine, similar to that of the Brutale. However, due to a higher compression ratio and revised dimensions, the Dragster 800 RR’s engine generates a greater output of 140bhp of power and 87Nm of torque. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and incorporates a slip-assist clutch.

Engine

The Dragster 800 RR, as its name implies, is equipped with a 798cc inline-three-cylinder engine that has the ability to produce 136bhp and 87Nm of torque. This engine is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission that operates alongside a slipper/assist clutch. Meanwhile, it is anticipated that the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR will have a fuel efficiency of approximately 16km/l.

Design

Apart from the design features, owning a Dragster will bring you immense joy. Even in Sport mode, the three-cylinder engine maintains some of the traditional MV throttle response, but it has significantly improved compared to just two years ago, thanks to enhancements in initial throttle mapping. This means that the Dragster is now much more pleasurable to ride at low speeds while still providing the necessary power when you have an open road ahead.

Transmission

The Dragster, a part of MV Agusta’s streetfighter lineup, shares many similarities with the Brutale 800RR. However, it differentiates itself through its distinct rear styling treatment. The Dragster features a wider and shorter tail compared to the Brutale, as well as a thicker 200-section rear tire. One standout design element is the inclusion of laced wire-spoke wheels, which is quite unique for a bike with such high performance capabilities. All three versions of the Dragster 800 RR utilize the same 798cc, three-cylinder engine found in the Brutale family. However, being an RR model, the engine has been tuned to produce a higher output of 140hp and 87Nm of torque. Furthermore, MV’s comprehensive electronics suite will also be available for this model.

Handling

In terms of the bike components, the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR is equipped with Marzocchi USD forks at the front and a Sachs single shock at the back. It features large twin disc brakes measuring 320mm at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear. The bike’s structure is constructed around an ALS steel tubular trellis frame. Speaking of the wheels, the front wheel is fitted with a 120/70-ZR 17 M/C (58W) tire, while the rear wheel is equipped with a 200/50-ZR 17 M/C (75W) tire.

Torque

The Dragster RR heavily borrows elements from the Brutale 800 in terms of its appearance and structure. It retains the three-cylinder engine that claims to generate 140 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque, along with the tubular steel chassis, iconic MV Agusta single-sided swingarm, 43mm Marzocchi front suspension that can be fully adjusted, Sachs monoshock, and the Brembo four-piston brakes combined with a Nissin master cylinder.

This model is based on the Brutale 800 RR and is available for sale at Kinetic Motoroyale, the Indian retailer for MV Agusta. Although the overall shape of the Dragster 800 RR remains unchanged, it features spoke wheels, wider rear tires, and a shorter tail section compared to the standard version.
