Once again the upcoming Royal Enfield 350 Bobber has been spied as the model continues testing on Indian roads. As we know for sure, the new Royal Enfield Bobber will draw its base from the Classic 350 using a fresh take on the new J-series plastic stage. Back in 2022, Royal Enfield had confirmed that it was working with an expanded group of cruisers in the 350cc, 650cc and other 450cc stages as it hoped to diversify its line-up.

Royal Enfield will expand the Classic 350 range by including a single-seater Bobber variation. Codenamed J1H, it looks to be the most expensive 350cc Royal Enfield from the brand and is expected to be launched soon or in 2024. The report further states that the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber will have a high handlebar and will be white in colour. The wall tires were separated from the single seat due to significant differences compared to the conventional model.

Feature

The Classic 350 Bobber will highlight slight updates in its styling compared to the Classic 350. It will get a long gorilla holder style handlebar, single piece saddle and shut down treatment in its bike parts. Additionally, the Classic 350 Bobber will also feature white wall tires to help it stand out from the group. The new Classic 350 shares its J-stage with other new cruisers, for example, the Classic 350 and Meteor 350. As far as plans are concerned, the test Donkey spotted in Chennai, Tamil Nadu sports a bobber bike-inspired bodywork.

Engine

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber will be fueled by the same J-stage motor that powers the Meteor 350, Tracker 350 and Classic 350. The 349cc, air/oil-cooled, single-chamber engine will deliver 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm. And 27Nm of peak force at 4,500rpm. The engine will be mated to a five-speed transmission. Featuring the new J-stage, it results in peak power of 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm and is mated to a five-speed transmission.

Performance

The upcoming single-seat bobber will use almost the same motor without any change in performance yield. RE has all the sights set on tackling various new launches for India including the Tracker 350, Super Meteor 650 cruiser, a Bobber to Shotgun 650 model, 450cc Himalayan, Scadaddle 411 etc. Powering the Bobber will be Royal Enfield’s new J-series motor that powers the Tracker 350, Meteor 350 and Classic 350. The 349cc single-chamber air-cooled engine makes 20bhp and 27Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Braking

The Classic 350 Bobber features comparable bike parts as its senior relative. Suspension duties will be handled by adjustable forks at the front and center and twin shocks at the rear. Like the Classic 350, the Bobber will also run on spoke wheels. Slow-speed undertakings will be taken care of by plate brakes on two closers, while our guess is that a double channel ABS should come as standard. The test also included a drifting pillion seat – which would be considered normal for the bike. It also comes with the Google-controlled Sightseer root framework.

Suspension

It is believed that this model will be a single seater. The drifting pillion seat proposes a change to the back subframe, with the bumpers being mounted on the swingarm and not the bike frame. The rear look is completed by retro round tail-lights and turn pointers. The Classic 350 is presented with front and back circle brakes supported by double station ABS framework, regular adjustable front forks, twin safeguards at the rear, spoke wheels, semi-computerized instrument console, etc.

Design

The 350cc Bobber has all the retro-style nuances of the Classic 350, although there are some excellent changes in the plan. The raised handlebars are unusual for the 350 group of bobbers, while the footpegs are set further forward than those of the Classic 350. The gas tank, front fork and headlamp configuration, by all accounts, appear to be lifted directly from the Classic 350, while the rear twin shocks have also been carry over. Looking at the secret operative photos of the upcoming Royal Enfield Bobber, it appears that the cruiser is based on the same platform as the Meteor 350.

Style

The upcoming Royal Enfield Bobber RE will offer the bike different features from the RE stable like adaptive front forks, double back shocks, double channel ABS along with plate brakes on two finishes, spoke wheels, LED fog lights and a semi-computerized instrument group. The rear seat may be a discretionary adornment, yet in general the Bobber is ‘adequately’ laid out. The round front lamp adds to the general bobber style of the bike. The Bobber gets forward-set foot fixed, Primate holder handlebar, split seats and pass outs.
